Альбом понравился своей атмосферой. Видимо была задача – сделать действительно концертник. Во-первых, звук – более тяжелый, даже по сравнению с первым «Кипером» (версия «Доктора Штайна» гораздо лучше звучит). Во-вторых, очень много живых пауз между композициями, что мне очень понравилось. Чувствуется реальный концерт. В-третьих, отдельный респект за такую версию «Future World». В-четвертых, здесь единственная возможность услышать «How Many Tears» в исполнении Киске, данная версия, опять же, мне нравится больше. Минусов не так много. Отсутствие «Eagle Fly Free», присутствие «Rise and Fall» и Кисковского шлака. Понятно, надо было всех композиторов показать, но перебрали. Если бы через какое-то время вышел бы еще один концертник с другими песнями, то понимаю. А так пошла с группой свистопляска, и этот релиз остался единственным в своем роде. Сниму, пожалуй, минус за композиторские таланты Киске. Итого – «9». |

При всем уважении к такому сильному коллективу, даже на момент выпуска данного концертника, ставшего необычайно популярным, хочется заметить, что ему многого не хватает. Нет, дело вовсе не в качестве записи или техничности музыкантов - с этим, к счастью, у «Тыкв» все в порядке. А вот сет-лист скуповат: конечно, наличие песен «A Little Time», «Future World», «I Want Out» - это прекрасно, но где же такие шедевры, как «I'm Alive», «Halloween», «Eagle Fly Free», «March оf Time», «Save Us»; не говоря уже о песнях с альбома «Walls оf Jericho» - на данном концерте «Тыквы» радуют нас лишь «How Many Tears», а песнями «Ride the Sky», «Guardians», «Gorgar» или «Heavy Metal» тут и не пахло.
Но если закрыть глаза на все вышеперечисленные недостатки, можно смело заявлять, что перед нами очень качественный концертник. Тем не менее, как ни обидно, просто хороший, не более того. |
