 Учтя ошибки и промахи предыдущей работы, испанцы Mistweaver местами исправили их на своем следующем "The Aftermath". Здесь они решили немного отойти от добавления элементов medieval и viking, используя их лишь в текстах и, местами, для придания композициям особой атмосферы. Гитары звучат более ярко, появились неплохие соло и мелодии. Темп игры заметно ускорился, и теперь на альбоме можно услышать быстрые гитарные риффы и барабанные партии. Клавишные звучат очень разнообразно и красиво. Качество записи стало на порядок выше. Отдельно хотелось бы отметить присутствие акустических пассажей, красота которых особо ярко выражена на вступительной "The Aftermath" и меланхолической "The Dragon Died...".
Тематика композиций не меняется с начала существования группы: это рыцарские рассказы, повествующие о героизме и борьбе со злом.
"The Aftermath" на голову выше своего предшественника, но ему все равно еще не хватает хитовых композиций и немного разнообразия. |
