 Наконец, хотя и с большим запозданием, пишу об этом отличном альбоме (для меня, это один из лучших альбомов во всем металле, наравне с Manowar - WOTW, Savatage - Edge of Thorns/Handful of rain и Scorpions - Blackout).
Поскольку раньше я ничего подобного не слышал, то все это безумие могу описать только с помощью своей фантазии. Думаю, так могли бы звучать утяжеленные и изрядно помрачневшие среднетемповые композиции Black Sabbath, с озверевшим Мартином на вокале. Что касается текстов, то у меня возникают аналогии с последними минорными произведениями группы г-на Маврина.
Из 8-ми композиций, присутствующих на альбоме, 4 хита (Hellfire, Godless and Wicked, The Devil's Waltz, The Devil's Hall Of Fame), 2 суперхита (Perfect Dark, Crying) и 1 Мегахит (Shadowland). Инструментал Closing the Circle (не очень понравился, тк на фоне остального материала мне показался слишком спокойным, но не более): затишье перед вокальным бешенством в Perfect Dark.
Альбом "The Devil's Hall Of Fame" был записан в студии Jailhouse и спродюссирован Tommy Hansen'ом. Я не особо большой поклонник синтезаторов, но клавишник и, по-совместительству, создатель группы Finn Zierler отлично делает свое дело. Его игра превосходно дополняет остальные инструменты, не приедается и не выходит на передний план, что меня очень радует. Великолепные вокальные партии принадлежат Jörn'у Lande (The snakes, Millenium, Ark, Nikolo Kotzev, ныне - Masterplan). Кстати Shadowland (единственная около-оптимистическая композиция... по сравнению с другими, конечно :о) могла бы отлично вписаться в альбом Хозяинплана, хотя на обозреваемом альбоме вокал Ланде гораздо агрессивнее и, как говорит один мой знакомый, сатанистее. 100% must have! |

Подарок для ценителей серьезного прогрессива. Beyond Twilight - еще один проект с участием небезызвестного Йорна Ланде. И надо сказать, что это одна из лучших его вокальных работ. Радует то, что первична здесь именно музыка, а не демонстрация виртуозности владения тем или иным инструментом. Атмосфера альбома настолько мрачная, что он идеально подошел бы к фильму ужасов в качестве музыкального сопровождения. |

Это не популярная группа, играющая хайтековский (для тех кто не понял [Hi]gh [Tec]hnology (высокие технологии)) Prog-Metal. Музыка очень грузная, но красивая и техничная. Клавишные только утяжеляют звучание альбома и порой даже пугают. Вокалист Jorn Lende кричит/поет чистым вокалом, а в некоторых песнях именно поет. Местами клавишные переплетаются с голосом и придают ему то самое хайтековское звучание. Все очень качественно записано и сведено. Вся лирика альбома построена на истории про хакера, которая написана в буклете. Эта смесь религии и киберапокалипсиса наталкивает на размышления. Атмосфера альбома наилучшим образом подходит к лирике. Очень интересная фишка в последней песне Perfect Dark - в конце песни звучат строчки из первого трека(Hellfire), да и темп у них одинаковый. Еще можно выделить инструментал The Devil's Waltz - единственная более быстрая и веселая песня на альбоме.
