 Группа выросла и заиграла по настоящему взрослую и профессиональную музыку, протаптывая собственную дорожку в неизведанном направлении, оставляя на ней следы, которые будут вызывать страх у дилетантов боящихся перемен и неизвестности. Изысканные прогрессивные мелодии переплетаются с интересными композиционными находками, оригинально разбавленными гармоничными и техничными fusion элементами. Мusthave! |

Extol на этом альбоме, к сожалению, полностью отошли от брутального techno-death стиля, и заиграли модные ныне фьюжены и прочие нью-металлы. Надо отдать им должное - сделали они это с завидным профессионализмом, но мне такая музыка не по душе. Поначалу альбом звучит откровенно слабо, правда потом становится всё интересней и интересней, так что любителям всего нового вполне можно порекомендовать. Местами у ребят даже прорываются позывы снова заиграть брутал, но тут же и исчезают.
На песню “Pearl” имеется видео, которое мне понравилось, несмотря на туманность сюжета и размытость образов.
Всё бы и ничего, но лично считаю, что такое отступление от своего стиля заведёт группу в полный тупик, и если как death формация, Extol имели даже определённый шанс вырваться в самый передовой эшелон, то, заиграв в новом стиле, они просто потонут в море им подобных, несмотря даже на свой профессионализм и оригинальность. |
