Camping Ticket:

Sziget Policy

Valid tickets for the festival entitle visitors to enter the event site on condition that they abide by Sziget’s rules and regulations, compliance to which will be monitored by the staff.

Camping Tickets are valid from 11 August 10:00 a.m., Non-Camping Tickets are valid from 13 August 06:00 a.m. Both types are valid to 18 August 08:00 a.m. Daily ticket holders can enter the festival site from 02:00 a.m. to midnight on the day indicated on the ticket, and can stay until 08:00 a.m. the following day.

Upon entering week tickets are exchanged for a wristband. Whether weekly or daily, wristbands should be kept on for the duration of their validity and will be checked on entering and departing the Sziget, as well as during your stay on the festival site.

For those wishing to extend their stay on the Sziget once the validity of their ticket has ceased, a new wristband can be purchased at Városközpont (City Centre) from the wristband-inspectors. Those who don’t buy a new one will be obliged to leave the festival site.

Tickets and wristbands are none transferable. Only wristbands worn on your wrist are considered as valid tickets. DAMAGED (re-glued, cut, those with the press-stud opened, or those wider then your wrist) WRISTBANDS ARE INVALID! Counterfeiters and anyone taking part in the forgery will be prosecuted. We cannot replace damaged or lost wristbands. Children aged 10 and under have free entry if accompanied by an adult. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

Recommended ways to get to the Sziget Festival
The festival area is easy to reach with local train (HÉV) departing from Batthyány tér. You have to get off the train at the stop Filatorigát. During the days of the Festival trains run on a more frequent schedule inside Budapest in the morning and evening hours (at the weekend in the afternoons also) and there are night trains as well.

Please note that the only night line stopping at Batthyány tér is the hourly running 921. Those who are about to go downtown at night, we suggest changing to night line 906, 923 or 931 at Margit híd (Margit Bridge); towards Móricz Zsigmond körtér please change to night line 960. Towards Zugló (district XIV) and Ferencváros (district IX) please change to night line 901 at Szentlélek tér (Árpád Bridge).

When can you start entering Sziget?
This year, visitors with camping tickets can occupy their tent spots from 10 a.m. on August 11. Guests with non-camping tickets can enter the Sziget area from 6 a.m. on August 13. On August 12, that is Day Zero, the camping weekly ticket and the daily ticket regarding that day are valid.
Tickets bought in advance must be exchanged for an armband on the spot. The armband cannot be transferred; damaged and lost armbands are not to be replaced or substituted.


When is Sziget to be vacated?
The festival ends in the early morning of August 18, therefore we ask everyone to leave the island in the morning hours as pulling down starts on that day.

How long is the daily ticket valid?
The daily ticket is valid from 2 a.m. on the day of the purchase until 8 a.m. of the next day, then you have to leave Sziget, or buy another ticket.

How many kinds of weekly ticket can be purchased?
There are two kinds of weekly ticket purchasable: camping and non-camping weekly tickets, the buyers of which have different entitlements. Both kinds of weekly ticket are limited to one owner. More details: ticket

What does the camping weekly ticket entitle one to?
The camping weekly ticket is basically the traditional Sziget weekly ticket, which, as previously seen, entitles its owner to make use of the camping area and all the facilities belonging to it.
