Out of the chaotic roar of the embattled, yet still burgeoning Vancouver metal scene it seems that many voices are heard, but few are clearly distinct; one of the clearest, though, must be the voice of Vancouver-based Tribune.
Formed in 2004, the members of Tribune have maintained strong friendships with each other, and an equally strong commitment to making challenging, yet accessible heavy metal. Since the 2005 release of their 8-song EP, "Home Sweet Hell," the band's song writing has become both heavier and more melodic. 2009 saw the band put out a 3-song demo entitled "Rotting Core," which mixed death-metal elements with melodic vocals, giving a good indication of where the band was taking their music. Now in 2011, Tribune is working on their newest album, "Elder Lore/The Dark Arts," and preparing to take their live show across Canada and the United States in 2012.
Some believe that the Apocalypse will occur in 2012. Not only will Tribune be there, but they will also provide the soundtrack...
