Tomydeepestego is a creature, an idea born with a precise aim to express oneself, to transmit and receive, to give and get. Even if the idea was born actually a couple of years ago, so its nucleus did, the band who represents it, formed at the beginnings of 2006. It can boast members coming from Inferno, Malkavian and The Phoenix, all musicians that have been for quite a long time on the Italian and European uderground scene, each one carrying his own musical and cultural background. Everyone contributed to create something that mirrored musically the basic idea of the creature TMDE. You just need to blend together the poetry of Pelican, the sound wall of Neurosis, the double face of Isis, the atmospheres of Neurosis and the delicacy of Mogwai. All of this is moulded through that genuineness and simplicity that only who has lived and expressed himself through the music for years is able to do. And here it is, in front of your eyes and your ears, Tomydeepestego. The intentional lack of a singing voice makes everything even more exciting. The notes themselves, the riffs and the rithmic section act as protagonists in TMDE music. Without a singer, the music plays the leading role, getting in its every single part a meaning which is broader and more complex than it happens in others bands that have a more canonical formation. Every song by TMDE has a story behind: the aim of the songs is to make the listener relive them, to let him being transported by the stream of emotions that flow from the creature on stage. Something that is to listen and to watch, but with your eyes closed, with your heart.
The band's first promo was recorded live in June 12th 2006 at Hombrelobo studios in Rome, with our friend Valerio-fisik at the console. Trying to be as much natural, rich and emotional as possible, TMDE put all its being into digital stuff, hoping that emotions, experience, and visions would be given and shared with everybody, just like a string made by 0s and 1s.
In February 2007, Tomydeepestego signed a contract with Subsound Records label in order to produce their full lenght debut. The band entered Hombrelobo Studio (Rome, Italy) in March 2007 to record 8 songs. Mastering has been handled by Alan Douches at West West Side (NY), and Seldon Hunt created the artwork. The album is printed also as a double vinyl and double picture disc by KNVBI Recrids (USA). Expect 'Odyssea' to be released in November 2007. In the meantime TMDE played some shows, beeing also the opening act for such great bands like Cult Of Luna, Red Sparowes, This Will Destroy You and Fu Manchu. As always, it's the music the main protagonist, and the notes of Tomydeepestego shape it. Almost 60 minutes of soundscape experience. For everyone. TMDE
