The Norwegian symphonic metal band Adyta was founded in 2008, by Joakim Severinsen who had left Mortiferia to pursue his own goals. Adyta can be described as symphonic metal with female vocals and the music contains elements from all from film and folklike music to extreme metal. The name Adyta is a latin word which refers to something that is not to be entered. The name derives from a prologue of Epica. Joakim got in contact with Melissa Ferlaak, former Visions of Atlantis and Aesma Daeva singer, which agreed to do the vocals for Adyta's first EP, The Rose Of Melancholy.
2009
A lot of work remained for the EP. The final result was done in May and then put available online on myspace and is now possible to order. The drummer search finally ended on Pranav Taneja, which was to join in June. Adyta is now searching for a singer and bassist to fullfill the lineup.
