NECRONOMICON – культовая немецкая thrash metal группа, одна из наиболее популярных андерграундных банд 80-х. Корни группы уходят в далёкий 81-й год, когда в небольшом немецком городке Вайль – Ам – Райне три школьных друга – вокалист/гитарист Freddy, ударник Axel и басист Lala - решили собрать группу. В 1984 году к команде примкнул второй гитарист Jurgen “Jogi” Weltin, и именно тогда ребята решили назвать группу NECRONOMICON. Загадочное название было позаимствовано от известной мифической книги заклинаний NECRONOMICON или “Книги Мёртвых”, первые упоминания о которой встречались ещё в рассказах Г.Ф. Лавкрафта. Дебютное выступление группы вызвало немалый ажиотаж, и вскоре немцы стали настоящими идолами локальной трэш-метал сцены. Выпустив два успешных демо, группа подписала контракт с лейблом Gama Records и в 1986 году издала одноимённый альбом “Necronomicon”. Запись вскоре стала бестселлером, а группа приобрела культовый статус и нехилую базу фэнов по всему миру, включая Россию и даже Чили, что для середины 80-х, беря во внимание отсутствие интернета, был грандиозный успех. Годом позже последовал второй альбом - “Apocalyptic Nightmare”. Песни стали сложнее, а адская, неудержимая энергия забила ключом, достигнув апогея на пластинке “Escalation”, увидевшей свет в 1988 году и ставшей без сомнения одним из наиболее значительных альбомов в истории немецкого трэша. Однако не всё шло так гладко: группе приходилось заниматься менеджментом самостоятельно, а политика их лейбла привела к тому, что диски Gama Records отказывались продавать ведущие музыкальные магазины. Команда планировала издать ещё 2 альбома, но, не желая продолжать работу с лейблом Gama Records, была вынуждена уйти в тень, ожидая окончания срока действия контракта. В 1994 году, под флагом D & S Records, NECRONOMICON выпустили альбом “Screams”, но через год лейбл прекратил своё существование, и группа снова очутилась в свободном плавании. В 2004 году группу подписали Remedy Records, на котором и вышел долгожданный пятый альбом “Construction Of Evil”. NECRONOMICON ещё раз подтвердили свой культовый статус. Группа не только не пошла по пути экспериментов и модных клише, но и сохранила тот неповторимый дух и атмосферу, которые на протяжении всех этих лет и выделяли NECRONOMICON из множества трэшевых групп. Будучи записанным в 2004-м, альбом, тем не менее, обладал классическим живым звучанием конца 80-х – начала 90-х, чего доселе не мог достичь, пожалуй, никто из их коллег. Уже с первых секунд убойной песни Stormbringer, кажется, будто некие древние неведомые силы вырываются наружу, дабы раз и навсегда поглотить твою душу. NECRONOMICON снова одержимы!!!

NECRONOMICON was founded 1983 by Freddy, Axel and Lala in South Germany. The three musicians, originally from the punk scene, succumbed quickly to the influence of bands like Motörhead and Metallica. In 1984 the guys met Jogi – the second guitarist and the band was complete. In 1986 NECRONOMICON signed their first contract with GAMA and released their debut album 'NECRONOMICON'. The album rised quickly to become a sure-fire success and was celebrated pitilessly as a cult in the underground scene and countless Fanzines worldwide. The mixture of hard thrash with punk influences found an eager followers all over the world. One year later the 2nd album 'APOCALYPTIC NIGHTMARE' appeared and at the same time the member founding, Lala left the band. The 'ESCALATION' album was followed by a big Eastern tour. On bass for the studio jobs were Freddy and Jogi, because they still had no bass-substitutes. The album developed to a Thrash-jewel in the scene; until now. Then the hell awakes. NECRONOMICON discontinued the contract with GAMA-Records, because inconsistencies appeared and the pay-back did not happend. Indeed, GAMA got the complete rights for 10 years and prohibated any publications under this name. Any other band would have broken now; but not these guys. After a long lawsuit, a lot of annoyance and a lot of lost money they came out of this dark chapter and produced the 'SCREAMS' album in 1993... again with a new bass player. And again the band had to accept a rabbit punch. The complete rehearsal room burned down and with it the entire equipment. The owner of D&S-Records strangely vanished into thin air after publishing and the band was left behind empty-handed once again. Then the Nu-Metal scene started to roll and Thrash Metal moved to the background. The next infernal gate was opened. In 2001 NECRONOMICON had to accept her biggest lost: guitarist Jogi felt ill with Tinnitus. At this point any other band surely would have broken up. Not NECRONOMICON. The band was searching in the local area to found a new guitar player and good friend. Andi (Andreas Gern). After the demo production '... POSSESSED AGAIN!' the band published in 2004 the praised 5th album 'CONSTRUCTION OF EVIL' by REMEDY RECORDS. The deal was consciously fixed for one year. In 2007 NECRONOMICON separated from Jörn Rüters, because the desired success hadn't taken place. ….despite sensational feedback and a huge sigh of relief from the fan community, because NECRONOMICON was still alive. In the end of 2007 they recorded the long player 'REVENGE OF THE BEAST'. It was re-produced by Achim Köhler and it became a damn jackhammer! In appreciation and respect to the fans, NECRONOMICON produced 'REVENGE OF THE BEAST' on their own a second time - in 80's style - raw and brutal. Both productions were released together on a special edition for the 25th anniversary. NECRONOMICON signed with the Spanish label “Xtreem Music” for one year – mostly for the fans, to be able to get the new album 'REVENGE OF THE BEAST' worldwide. The drums were played by Andre Hilger (Rage), a good friend of Freddy who offered his services to put another highlight on the album. Another reason was the fact that Axel had the wish to withdraw himself from the music industry. After the Russia tour in 2008, Axel left the band and handed over the drumsticks to Klaus Enderlin who integrated himself perfectly at the European Tour. Now the circular problems with the bass were fixed: they had found a „new one“. Andi N. (Andreas Nagel) who also quickly integrated himself as part of the band. In addition to playing the bass Nagel lends his vocal talent along with Freddy, creating a great result. Then Freddy found the 5th member of the band. Timo (Timo Weis) working with the sound (He serves the console). His role is very important in the bands network. The best solution for the future. What will happen in 2010? The new production is being tackled. In addition, the band is thinking about a new edition of the first 3 Necro albums in addition to live recordings. The new video is coming and above all.... touring in Europe, in Eastern and South America. One highlight was already announced by the band: Together with Sword Brother Production / Volker Rabe and Patricia Thomas / Managemaent & Promotion, a new and very promising team was completed, which everybody makes a slip a lot. The book is open again. Thrash is contagious. Beware of the beast!
