Проект одного человека из финского города Лаппеэнранта. Группа была создана весной 2002 года на руинах старой банды BlackGoat’а Count Lähde(-99). Первые записи BlackGoat записывал сам, но летом 2002 к нему присоединился барабанщик T. Bloodvengeance, который сыграл на половине песен с первого демо. В начале зимы 2002 Bloodvengeance покинул Goatmoon. BlackGoat сам записал 6 демо на протяжении 2002-2005 годов. Первый полноформатник был издан в конце зимы 2004 года лейблом Werewolf records.

Goatmoon was created in spring 2002 from the ruins of BlackGoat's old band Count Lдhde(-99). First recordings BlackGoat made by him self, but in some point of summer '02 joined drummer T. Bloodvengeance, who played on the half of songs on the first demo. On the early winter of '02 Bloodvengeance left the Goatmoon. BlackGoat has recorded six demos by himself during the years 02-05. First full length album was brought to moonlight late winter '04 released and distributed by Werewolf records.
