„Ferne“ can be clearly identified as Black Metal but nevertheless features a wide stylistic variety over its playing time of 63 minutes. Clean passages, sound experiments and rhythmic changes come in when a song needs them. The refined guitar work partly reminds of old Black Metal masterpieces of the early nineties.
Outlook and identity: MELKOR is not indebted to any stylistic or lyrical concept, but stands for emotional music. The ambition to create emotionally touching art, which doesn..t need any labelling by scenes, styles or stereotypes, is central to MELKOR.
