Blodfest was formed in 1992, at first as a projectband with members from Legion (later Wolfslair) and from Solhverv. The Blodfest line-up is still the same now, as it was back then. When Solhverv split up in 1997, Blodfest became the main band for Gru den Grusomme and Valeskald. Blodfest has made several rehearsal demos since 1992, but none of them has ever been officially released. First official release was the "Promo 2005" cd. Blodfest music is fast, aggressive and atmospheric Blackmetal. All lyrics are about our heathen forefathers, ancient Danish kings, their lives and the Pagan gods whom they worshipped. Blodfest has made 3 official demos with 9 tracks on each, The debut cd " I Kong Skjolds navn" was released in 2007 by Canadian label None More Black Records.
