At these disturbing times of cultural transformation there are people that strive to preserve the cells of fundamental feelings and senses. Donis’ progression returning to the section of antediluvian cultural mentality is a successful attempt to convey to us the sounds of that section. Donis' ability to play with modern and archaic expression delights and comforts: his albums are an attestation of these abilities.

I have always liked Lithuanian folklore in different variations, but I must frankly confess that I was astounded by the project "Bite Lingo"... I was going for holidays to my friends in Turkey, and I really didn’t slip up presenting the world of Lithuanian music with your project... Obviously, music is a universal language. They were fascinated with "Bite lingo", they even discovered some elements of their own culture... Their evaluation was - "this is real music"... That kind of music that makes you breathe, listen and feel that you are at least one step closer to that what people are searching for millennia – knowledge... I have to be grateful to a lucky coincidence or to a consultant in a music store who understood me so well that I found you... I just wanted to thank you for this project... Let the sea or the stars, or the wind, or the trees, or all THAT remain a wellspring of your creativity...

With Donatas, we were studying at the Faculty of Arts of Klaipeda University, we were also participating together in a folklore ensemble. I was singing live with him before, but my voice sounded in records for the first time.
I accepted his invitation to contribute to the album “Bite Lingo” just for enthuasiasm... What is it really for? I believe that we are all different – some like jazz, others like folklore.
The ovwecrowded hall of the Cultural Communication Centre proved that this kind of music has its’ admirers. Myself, I am earnest adherent of folk music, and I respect Donis for propagating this kind of music so restlessly.

I became interested in your creative work after our acquaintance at the seminar, before that I only heard about the project with Kūlgrinda. The project with Serra is wonderful because her voice is very folkloric.
You are the continuation of what is true in our life, that’s why you don’t need any pose. We are the the university company from 80-ies from Čiurlionis street, which looked for and found those ideals in music that were not freely discussed about. While listening to your music I think that what is true is eternal, and there any generation gaps don’t exist.
