Black Lodge is an American Industrial Rock band from Los Angeles, CA. The band was founded during the summer of 2012 by guitarist Johnny Royal. Black Lodge consists of Daniel Sahagún on vocals, Johnny Royal on guitar, Nero Bellum on bass and synth, and Raanen Bozzio on drums.
Black Lodge has been writing and recording their debut full-length album at The Realm Studios in Los Angeles, with Lee Miles producing, Johnny Royal and Daniel Sahagun co-producing, engineering and additional co-production by Matt Dougherty, and Sean Beavan mixing.
The Black Lodge debut full-length album features 10 tracks with additional writing by Lee Miles and additional co-production and songwriting by Jeordie White aka Twiggy Ramirez on the track “XIII.”
The band has released, “THOUGHTS,” their first focus track and music performance video from their forthcoming debut album, on September 1st, 2015. The music performance video for “THOUGHTS,” was filmed on location at The Realm Studios in Los Angeles, CA.
During the writing sessions of the Black Lodge debut full-length album, bassist Ventura XIII (Ventura Sergio Bañuelos) was killed in a motorcycle accident in Los Angeles, CA on April 29, 2014.
In October of 2013, Black Lodge released their debut EP, produced by Lee Miles and Jeordie White aka Twiggy Ramirez, with co-production by Sean Beavan, Johnny Royal, and Zach Webb, mixing by Sean Beavan, and mastering by Paul Logus. The Black Lodge self-titled EP was written and recorded at The Realm Studios in Los Angeles, CA.
Black Lodge has toured the United States multiple times and is set to headline the Viper Room on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood, CA, on Friday, September 4th, 2015 at 9pm.
